Painting the Chrome Grill

Guys I have decided to just go ahead and paint my chrome grill. I want to paint it gloss black as the trim around the windows is gloss too.

I am unsure what to do about the vertical slats on the grill. Do I just leave them as they are and do I just paint the chrome outer section? What are the original BMW Performance ones like. I have looked at a few pics but I cannot see if the vertical slats are different from the ones I have at the moment or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as always.

Don't do it! Get the OEM grille kit.......

How much is it in the UK? The robbing bastards here in Turkey have quoted me 180 quid for a bit of plastic!!

That is why I am looking at painting.

Try calling Chris O'Dea at BMW Blackpool he will sort out a good price for you. About £80 ish I think
