2010 New York Auto Show
Been waiting for a few days for someone to open a thread and post some pics but anyways.

I thought the 5 series, specially the GT, looked terrific. If it's any indication of the 2012 3, I think the next 3 would look nicer than the E90. Surprisingly for me, the M3 was not as nice. It looked ordinary somehow (IMO). Even the trim used was the brushed aluminum instead of the CF M trim. Yep, the Fiat models were hot.  The 2-door mini was also quite nice. See below. The A4 Audi eyeliner led lights have inspired all sorts of imitation eyelid on other cars including a $100,000+ S Class Mercedes and a $180,000 Porsche Panamera.   And whiles everyone is copying Audi, Audi seems to be running out of design ideas. The new A8 is awful.   2. Shift paddles now can come on virtually any car now. Even the 2011 Ford Taurus has the cheapest feeling "plastic" shift paddles inspired by both BMX and BMW. Even if cars don't have need for or any sort of sportiness built in to require paddles manufactures feel the need to put them on there to sell a sporty factor.  3. The Concept Cars at The Car Show is almost extinct. Most companies now just show you the cars the need you to desperately buy to save their business and are not wasting money on concepts.   4. AMG is really pronounced like that.  5. The Mini Cooper Girls were friendly, very friendly. Mini Cooper also had one of the best displays. With a car in the ceiling and interactive displays it was our favorite of the night. Scion and Saab had other decent set ups as well.   6. Volvo usually has a good show. But the S60 falls a little flat for me. It is supposed to be comparable to the 5 series but I don't even think this thing can hold its own against a Corolla.   7. Two long for dead cars are making a come back in 2011. Saab and Jaguar! On that note Saab had one of the best displays for the 2011 9five. And thank you TATA Motors for the new XJ which has all the style, trim, and luxury of a $440,000 Bentley but only debuts at $85,000.        8. Lexus and Hyundai both make a lot of cars! 9. When any other car company is trying to explain their car line to you they will almost always unconsciously say "This is like our 5 series and 3 series, etc..." to let you know what is the entry level and mid level cars, etc... 10. Bluetooth in the Steering Wheel Buttons and Voice Command seemed to replace iPod Integration and Navigation as the biggest rage with non-luxury car manufacturers and YES I was inclined to let all them know that my 2001 330i has that. 11. BMW really are pound for pound dollar for dollar the best cars out there. Honestly, you could have debuted a 2005 E46 ZHP or even myt car at that show and it would've had more interesting features on it worth seeing over 90% of the cars that were there. The 2011 335is gets the DCT Sports Package Steptronic Shifter that I just retrofitted into my car. And that car will be priced at $53,000 as shown. More than a 2010 E Class!           12. Infiniti had the best, and I believe the only, concept car at the show worth seeing. And that is saying a lot because I wasn't all that impressed since it just looked like a flatter, sleeker G37 coupe.       13. Small cars are all the rage! SUVs have been relegated to the basement with the work trucks.
