e90 busted on the 407

Saw a black e90 pulled over on the 407 this afternoon having its plates removed by the cops and on a tow hook, looks like someone has a big speeding bill ahead. Hopefully not someone on the board...

I doubt it's someone on this forum..

probably just a regular E90 on the road with some bad luck..

I have to say...sometimes its really hard to watch speed on the 407...especially when you're driving a 335i...the car runs so well you don't even feel like your speeding...but I guess what are you supposed to tell the officer when you get caught?

I have to say I came close to being nailed on the 407 last Thursday afternoon, I was getting on @ Hurontario, I went into the on ramp doing 120 and was planning to accelerate out of the corner onto the 407, when I spotted him, was able to slow down to 100/90. I think I would have had a hard time explaining to my wife how I got a ticket on the on ramp

That`s why I love living out west, my Escort radar detector gives me a fighting chance.

Strangely, the distributor is in Mississauga but can only sell it to customers west of Ont-scario.

there soo many opp on the 407... i dont even speed, no point im not in a rush to get to school...im doing 100 and opp follows me and he cuts me and looks at me...ive seen one opp get out his car radar u goes on his walkie talkie tell the others a heads to go after u if ur speeding

Saw the radar gun pointing to us going East around Dufferin this morning.. I was in my black E90, but slowed down with all the other drivers and remained untouched

OPP always catch ppl on 407. Especially on the fast lane.

I was on the 407 last Monday and was surprised at the complete lack of OPP that I saw. I drove from Markham out to Brampton and then back later in the day and didn't see a single police car.

I take the 407 from Ninth Line to QEW every other weekend and I know there are OPP all over the place. They sometimes drive in their vans too. I use the cruise control and set to 110 and all is well

It's just all about luck, whether it's gonna be your day or not. I've been using the 407 every weekday for the past 2 years for 60km roundtrip, and while I don't do the speed limit, I've never been pulled over yet. If the day finally comes, I'll accept it as something that had to eventually happen.

The 407 is just soooooo smooth and most of the time flows nicely - breeding ground for fast driving...

I got caught going 32 over on the 407 last year going EB past Jane St on the bridge overpass...at around 12AM! Since then I've seen opp doing speed traps more often at that spot. The road has been designed at that spot for a cop to stop and radar you. Also seen them radar just coming down the vertical slope of the bridge when your gaining speed and doing RIDE checks around Yonge Street offramps.
