Question Used 2007 E92 value

Hi Guys/Gals,
New to this forum and looking to buy a used 2007 335 E92. Looking for suggestions on what a reasonable price is for a Used and Loaded(Navi/Sport/Premium/AS/++) with low KM's <35K and CPO from BMW.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mkiv and MRQturbo,

I dont understand why http://www.vmrcanada.com/value_menus...s/07bm3-es.htm shows it as being valued at 31-32K retail (I know i wont find that price ).

Best price i could negotiate was 41+taxes, and I'm worried I'll probably lose about 20K in 2 years.

Given how low the greenback is right now, you're way better off finding one stateside and bringing it up.

No nav on this one, but bringing one up from the US is really tempting at these prices:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...item439e4aa95d

Taxes, duty, inspection, everything in, this one would cost you just under $40k right now.

Personally I wouldn't get nav on a pre-2009 model since it's looking a bit old and clunky these days.

I paid $41900 for my CPO 335i last year around this time (Town&Country). It had ~31K when I bought it. It only has sport package, mind you, and style 230 rims. At the time, the only cheaper 335i coupe that I saw was non CPO, advertised for $37700, though it was from a private dealer who didn't actually have the car. CPO is a fairly comprehensive warranty, though I'm told it does not cover the turbos. The value goes beyond the actual coverage, however. BMW replaces brake pads and tires on CPO cars if they don't meet minimal requirements, as well as other things. I negotiated the price before the car got it's final CPO check. I ended up with brand new rear tires and a new windshield. The dealer wasn't happy that they had to shell out the cost, as it took a chunk out of their profit. The salesman actually tried to tell me that they would replace one rear tire (one was marginally acceptable under CPO rules), and that it would 'catch up' to the other one. I told him this was a deal breaker, and they eventually capitulated.

VMR is a really bad site for used car values. their values are always 15-20% lower than black book values (which have their own problems). nevertheless, use VMR with a great deal of discretion.

i also bought a CPO car last summer (july) and the CPO replaced my rear tires and rims and some body damage they found during the inspection.

i'd be surprised if it doesn't cover the turbos. there's no reason for them not to cover them.

The CPO documents I got weren't specific, so I asked the salesman. He didn't know, but checked, and later reported that the turbos were not covered. It's possible he could be mistaken, i'll be quite pleased if he is.

Gaak! My turbos better be covered! Anyone at home got their CPO contract handy?

I picked up an 07 335i, premium + auto, less than 4000km, in service date Apr-08, CPO to Apr 2014, for just under $42k (joys of an executive driven car). Canadian black book a the time showed mid/high $30s...

From the CPO brochure, Engine section, page 7:

Quote:
All internally lubricated parts, including: pistons, piston rings and pins, crankshaft and end cover on crankcase; top cover plate; secondary air pump; supercharger; main and connecting rod bearings...
Relevant sections bolded. Turbos are included in CPO warranty. Note that a turbocharger is a type of supercharger.

yeah, having owned a turbo car before, and had to replaced the turbo after the warranty ran out, i never considered owning another without some type of coverage. paid a premium but feel it's worth it.
