Anybody gone to the BMW Performance Center in S. Carolina?
I just got this flyer in the mail this weekend offering free participation in the one day M driving class because I bought my car prior to 12/2008 when it was being offered to anyone who bought an M series car. I called yesterday to make sure this was legit and it is. BMW pays for your class fee, 2 night in a hotel, meals for 2 days, and they allow you to bring a guest who can also participate in the class. You just have to pay for your airfare to get there. Shuttle from the airport to the hotel and to the BMW performance center is included.
I think I gotta jump on this. Has anybody else participated in this class? I thought I remember somebody here mention that they went. I'm just curious about the experience.

My wife and I went last year. It was such a blast. The instructors were great, really everything was top notch. From the hotel staff, to the BMW facility, to the instructors, I could not imagine a better experience. They really make you feel welcome. They even pick you up at the airport in an X5.
The first thing the instructor said was that this class makes you fall in love with your M3 all over again and they were right. My wife really loved it also. Best part is, you get the car to yourself. They just have a radio to talk to you and that's it. DO NOT PASS UP THIS CHANCE. I cannot emphasize this enough. It was an amazing experience. FWIW, out of all 3 cars, I loved the M3 the best. It was so nimble compared to the M5 and M6. The DCT is amazing on the track. My favorite event was the M3 timed autocross. They also give you a DVD a few weeks later since the cars have cameras in them, so you can relive the experience.
