Had my first snowflake chime of the season.
Just thought I'd share.

While crossing the Mojave Desert enroute to Las Vegas the "snowflake" chimed for the first time. I freaked out because I thought It meant my antifreeze was running low, I then realized that it was the "frozen" warning when I noticed the outside temp was 33 degrees.

No actual snowflakes in the forecast though.

I like the chime. I've had it a few times in the burbs. Just one of the little quirks of our cars.

I had my first snowflake just a few minutes ago coming back from the store. I had a minor panic attack inside my head cause I thought something wrong with the car! A quick search and I feel much better.
Anyway, how accurate are the thermometers? The HUD said it was 37F! It was cold, but i'm not completely convinced it was 37F cold.

I got my first chime about a month ago....freaked me out too. But then I RTFM and was happy again
Also noticed the auto-heated mirrors this morning, pretty cool if you ask me Tom |

I remember that feature on the X5. Pretty nifty.
What is the symbol for it? A little snowflake or a message on the cluster if anything?

Its a snowflake symbol and a chime sound. I don't have Nav so I dont know if they get messages or not.

I think on iDrive, it's just a message at the bottom of the screen (in addition to the snowflake and message in the dash). The same as "fasten seatbelt." It will say "Outside temp +37F" or something like that.

Thanks. I'll add another one when I get the 335.
