My new 2010 E90 335i Le mans blue / Oyster M-sport
Hi all, been lurking these forums for the past 2 months, and going through the exterior and interior color threads like a madman. Just moved from Hawaii to Pensacola, FL, and made a stop in Greensboro, NC to pick up the car I finally found. Went back and forth between colors, coupe vs. sedan, new or used, etc for a while. Luckily I was able to find a Le mans blue with the Oyster Interior the day my movers came in Hawaii...one quick phone call and it was locked up till I got there. Went straight to the dealer after an all night flight, passed out at a hotel, then drove down to Atlanta for a few days, then to Pensacola. It's one hell of a car, especially coming from a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee thats lifted with 32 inch BFG AT tires and 2 solid axles (still have it).
Heres some pictures I took in the middle of my wash/wax today. Been wanting one of these for a long time. |

Yeah I figured that, but ive always had all black interiors on cars, so I figured I would get something a little unique, and I love the two-tone look. Already using a towel in the car to set stuff on top of...like the drive through Checkers burger last night. I did pick up a bottle of the Lexol leather conditioner and used it on the seats, but I'm guessing I'll need a cleaner too.

Thanks !
Now for the sad thread.... paint chipped off a week into owning it...I assume from a rock on the highway. Heres the thread if anyone with some words of wisdom would like to help out: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=370762 I've already washed the car 3 times since getting into Pensacola. Been staying at a buddies place and parking in his driveway, and every morning I walk out and theres crap all over the car - and we just can't have that. Still looking for a place to live here, and a garage is a definite MUST |

Ha yeah Ive been asked that a few times. In the military, so I end up moving every few years. I was there for a little over 3 years. It was definitly a good time, but there are some downsides, just like everywhere else. I did live right on Kailua beach, which was awesome. I liked the Pensacola area when I lived here for a short time back in 2004, so i'm glad it worked out that I could come back.
Heres a photo from a hiking trail near where I lived. |

Looks nice - I've got the same car (without the turbo ).
Oysters a bit of a challenge to keep clean after the first 6 months or so. Too bad they don't offer the gray wood like in the coupe which would look great. I was disappointed with the orange peel in my LeMans paint, how does yours look? |

I think it looks pretty good overall. I can see a little orange peel if I look at some sections at the right angle and lighting. Mainly the front quarter panels. No where need as bad as some cars though. I think its just the crappy paint they have to use now with all the EPA regulations. The worst ive seen is from a 2004 Chevy Colorado my buddy was buying new. It was kind of a Burnt orange color, and the orange peel (no pun intended) was horrific. At the time I was looking at buying one also, but after seeing that - hell no....plus the seats were horrible, interior was trash.... And yeah, I really wish I could get the grey poplar trim ! The coupe I was looking at in Le mans blue had it, and it was nice. I did think about ordering the trim from BMW, but then realized the coupe and sedan trim will not match up. |

Kailua is one of the most fantasic places in the world.
I would not want to own a nice car such as the one you just got in Hawaii. Every time we go the rental cars are messed up in an unbelievable way after a week or two. |
