Headlights

So the thing is that my headlights went all mate cause' of stone chips and stuff and they can't be polished cause' they are plastic... So I thought of getting these http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=369202 but the thing is that mine are bit different probably because of the Xenon package or whatever... So the thing is if I can do anything to polish or remove this mate condition of my own headlight or change just the front cover (I hope you get what i mean) or it would be smart to get these of that guy?

These are aftermarket lights that he has for sale.

DO NOT GET THEM!!! The are nothing but a pain the the ass and never will be OEM quality.

You can polish the headlight lense, search around on the forum or even on google.

But the lights you see in that FS thread are not OEM and will be nothing but a pain in the ass for ya. Just my .02 cents

I know there is a limit on much you can polish the headlights. My headlights were polished when I first got them.

Contact picus on this forum. He is a professional detailer in the GTA area. I am sure he can give you some tips and help you out. A lot of us get our detail work done from him. Top notch guy

What does the aircraft wax do - fill in the holes?

Anyway - I have personally (hand) polished plastic lenses before, and it's really hard work, but does make an great improvement with normal wear. However, it also removes the UV coating on some headlights, which means you'll have to re-polish them more often to fight yellowing. I don't know if the e90 headlights are like this - I have an old one I plan to practice on this summer, and see how it goes.

Professional wet sanding would probably work too.
