Turbo Lag??Program Version check?

I recently had my turbos replaced...however, i know that before they did this, they did a software update to try to solve my wastegate rattle problem.

I want to make sure they reset the programming because i know that it can cause some turbo lag. Does anyone know how to check the various programming versions on your BMW?

Take your keyfob into the dealership. They can read it with the key reader. Ask for a key print out. Look for the line that says Integration Level. Check what you have against this PDF to find your software version.

I wonder how the keyfob stores it...how is data transferred to the other fob?

It will send the data to the fob when you put it in the key slot. The folks with comfort access will have to put it in slot prior to having the dealer read it.

The other fob will have outdated data until you put it in the slot for it to be updated.
