How does this tire thread look to you?
Hey guys, I just got my summer set back on the car and once the garage was done putting them on, they told me I should start looking for new tires as my rear tires are at 5/32
Friend of mine has these tires from his cousin, but the biggie is that he's kinda far from me. Hes willing to sell them for quite cheap in all honesty, but I wont get them if they will last only 1 summer. I dont drive like a retard, the car is auto (no spinning) and I mostly drive in the city... Bridgestone Potenza RFT here are the pics of his rear tires with a quarter in them. Thanks a lot in advance for the help guys! |

Am I really going up or just pushing a few months the purchase of new tires?
I wont have any sliding problems and rain problems with these? Thanks again! What do you estimate the thread depth is on these? |

He just wants them out of his garage.
He's asking 150$. If they're more than my 5/32, I'd probably go for it, but I wont take them if they're the same and he doesnt have a thread gauge. |

One summer tops, after that, they're drag tires. 150+installation. + Installation next year for your newer set, you might just get a newer set right now.
But for city driving you might just get away with those, I would maybe not go 130km/h when raining but then again, I'm chicken or should I say careful. |

3 years left on the car, I have my 16's the car came with and the summer tires are BRAND new for them. Never used them. So if the last summer, I need to use them, I dont mind at all. What I'm really looking for is a 2 summers tire. I dont want to get new ones as I know I wont kill them. And then what? It's gonna cost me close to 1200$ for both I have one, but the problem is that HE doesnt have one and lives close to 2 hours away. |
