Muffler Suggestion
I wanted to switch my 328 muffler out for some duals, however I want to retain the quiet sound of the stock one. Basically after I switch the muffler I can repipe and create some duals with dual tips, however I hate the sound that comes out mufflers! Unless it comes out of the engine than thats different but its too ricey for me.
Any mufflers you guys can recommend thats very quiet? Can i re-use the stock 328 muffler, cut off the two tips and re-pipe it for the duals? or theres not enough room? |

Hey Ben, I was about to PM you if you got that quad setup you wanted to do. I know you wanted something quiet and close to stock way back when i was thinking of doing the res+muffler delete.
You consider that Magnaflow muffler that e90sim is selling? His FS thread has a link to that dual/quad setup a member fabricated with that exact muffler he's selling. I'm not sure how close to stock quiet it'll be though. I jumped on the RE Ikon muffler he was offering, i think it'll sound just right with my gruppem intake, not as loud as the res+muffler delete. A lot of us that have done the 328 to 335 style exhaust (with or without quads) have used the magnaflow muffler. It's not the easiest thing to do, but definitely doable. I am absolutely in love with the sound every time I drive my car. Here's a pic, and i'll try to get a sound clip up too sometime soon

I've actually already did the quads previously with using a "Top Speed" muffler (similar to Magnaflow) and the 3d Design Quads for e90 which wasnt loud at all but still had a sound! I need it as quiet as possible which is why i took the setup off and wanted to see if theres another muffler out there that was oem sound?
