Tim Horton such scammers

so I got this $10 Tim Horton gift card from buying stuff from Shoppers Drug Mart. I used it couple times and the balance is about 50 cents. Today I went into a Tim Horton to get myself a cheese danish and a fritter and it comes out to $2.47 and I asked the cashier to check how much I have on the card and pay the rest in cash. She told me I have nothing on the card because she tried to use the card for $2.47 and got rejected. So even if I had $2.40 on the card she'll tell me that I have nothing. The point is to remember how much you still have on the card. Finally I don't have to go to Tim Horton again now that my gift card is in the trash

Isn't Starbucks a bit over priced? Been there like 2 hours ago... damn thats a ripoff in comparison with Hortons >.< Though I'm not that of an a*s to grumble over couple of $ =)

McDonald's coffee > Starbucks & Timmies , imo.

If you haven't tried McDick's coffee, I suggest you pick up one to give it a try.

I'm not too happy with their roll-up-the-rim contest this year. I've bought coffees almost every weekday since it started and so far I've only won one free coffee. I'm likely 1 for 20 or so.

I must agree that McDonalds coffee is very good. I bought a small coffee from Tims last week and won a 'Free Coffee'. I went in yesterday and ordered an Extra Large Latte and when they asked for the $3.50 I gave them my coupon

My friend won a $100 gift card, after filling out some forms they said it would take 4 - 6 weeks to get it. Hmmm

Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Mcdonalds-same BS, different name.

You want good coffee? Go to a small coffee shop around the corner(mom & Pop store). In Quebec, we have various independent coffee houses that sell real coffee, not the ones you find in the other franchises.

timmys FTMFL, their coffee sucks, their service sucks, their food sucks, i dont know why there is always a big line up at their drive thru every morning on my way to work

but i agree, McD's coffee rocks for the price, but if you are really into coffees, u need to visit smaller coffee shops, people in their are actually passionate about coffee and will know a thing or two about it

Pretty soon, no one in the GTA will be able to speak english...it already seems that way in Markham...but in the words of an illustrious comedian...them folks aren't dumb people and are just pretending....

The point is not why or why not tell her. My point is that shouldn't they automatically inform the customer, I mean what if I forgot that I still had $2 in there.
