Need to test drive an M3 DCT
I live in the Dry Shitties and need to test drive an M3 DCT. I have a 335xi coming off lease soon. The closest dealer (Yakima) says they never stock M3s and never have them available for test drives. wtf?
Any suggestions on where I should look? I don't even care if it's a used M3... I just want to see how the DCT is as I've never tried it. Thanks in advance! |

Never mind, I got responses from several dealers in WA/OR and they all seem to have cars available for a test drive. Looks like only Yakima doesn't ever have them.

Yeah, Hahn never has an M3 in stock. In fact, the last time I saw one there was last March when I test drove an IB E90M3 6-spd (someone from the Tricities later bought it). They never even returned my calls when I was looking to put an order in.
I got the DCT-M without a test drive. I heard/read great things about it and figured I didn't want a manual here in slowpoke land. I haven't regretted it one bit. |

Ok I happened to be up in Bellevue last weekend visiting parents, so I test drove one at the dealer there. Awesome. I am definitely going to order one of these probably some time in June when my lease gets closer to being up.

I have borrowed my old E46 M3 with SMG for a week. I used to think the SMG2 was brilliant, but going back to it after DCT, it just seems soooo slow to shift.
