I have been talking to Speedstar about purchasing Motul products. If there is interest, we can place a large order and perhaps see some savings (I haven't worked out the numbers yet so don't ask).

This is to gauge interest in participating and is not a commitment. Ill update the with the recommended Motul fluids and spec sheets shortly.

Here is the product guide
http://www.motul-canada.com/en/techn...re_2008_en.pdf

Product List
Motul Xmax - 5W30 - 5L Jug - $75.90 taxes in

1. Turkish (2x5L Jugs, Xmax 5W30, brake fluid)
2. Jason (Brake fluid)
3. Kid Eh (300v oil)
4. Mohammadz (everything possible lol)
5. Trowa (Motul 5100)

i have on my previous car, it's fine. imo any full synthetic will be fine. people split hairs with stuff like oil and tires but small differences are not noticed by 99% of people.

Motul engine oil is great. I notice cooler oil temps and an overall smoother driving experience. They have LL01as well oil to meet bmw requirements.

I Usually buy all my Motul fluids from Billy @ tires 23. good pricing and saves the taxes if paying by cash.

Generally I use Fuch's for oil.

Has anyone checked with Precision Tuning at Keele/Steeles? They also sell Motul products.

be my guest. I have contacted Speedstar as they have always delivered on their word and their price. Not so much for tires 23. No comment about Precision Tuning as I have not had any dealings with them.

I'd be interested in some 300V engine oil. Had a change done at Speedstar a few months ago. So far it's been great.

As a followup to this, I was at Precision Tuning yesterday to get an oil change (I use Lubro Moly though, not Motul), and he had several Motul products. He was reluctant to post prices in an online forum, so it's probably something that's easier to find out if you're in the Keele/Steeles area (across from York University). Google finds the contact info.
