BMW forgot to screw in some bolts

Hey guys,

I recently brought a new 2010 328xi coupe from parkview. Its got about 5K on it so far.

The other day, I was checking my tire pressures, when I noticed that there are some bolts/screws missing on the bottom of my car.

There are suppose to be 10 bolts (5 on each side), and the purpose is to secure the frame on the bottom of the car, however there are 3 bolts/screws missing on the passenger side. (As obvious by the wide open holes)

Do you think I should schedule an appointment with my dealer to see whats going on, or wait until I go in for my 20k scheduled maintenance? Did anyone have similar experiences?

I sure hope this isn't an quality issue...You'd think BMW wouldn't make such a rudimentary error.

If you have time, you can drop by the dealer, and have them take a look first, they can give you some recommendations and what they can do. Calling in usually is kind of useless imo.

Are you absolutely sure a bolt has to go in there...

In my previous car (not a BMW), there were some open holes...ultimately used by brace manufacturers to install undercar metal braces for stiffness...

Hope that's the case instead of missing bolts! That'd be scary...

I'd buy that if both sides were symmetrical (both sides had missing holes). But it wouldn't make sense if only one side had them...

I'll take the car to the dealer this weekend.
