Dinan Air intake vs BMW performance air intake

I'm just curious as I have read many threads and done a little bit of research and according to certain websites, the Dinan Air intake adds more hp than the BMW Performance intake. Is this true? Dinan claims a 8++hp gain while the Performance claims a 5 Hp? I've read many threads regarding the BMW performance including

and it seems like its a great mod. But I havent really read any threads about the Dinan air intakes? Any feedback? Thanks!

Either way, you will not feel any difference in actual rwhp.

BMW Perf. FTW. Less work and it looks a lot better. Dinan you have to drill and sand etc.

Really? I was thinking to do it with a straight pipe. I don't wanna lose my warranty so I'm thinking of doing either. What about the sound? Anyone have done either to show pro and contra?

you wont lose warranty on any of the mods you do, as long as you don't play with internal engine mods like cams pullys and stuff like that your fine.

Straight pipes and intakes are fine, even a tune is fine as long as you don't get caught.
