Noob TPM & Aftermarket Rims question

I was wondering if going to aftermarket rims means that I will lose my TPM function? Or do some aftermarket rims come with TPMS? Or...can I port my TPM sensor to just about any set of wheels?

Thanks

You can pull them off your OEM wheels. Or you can buy new ones so you have two sets of tires (summer/winter). I just bought some today actually from Tirerack.com. I think they were around $40 a piece.

Correct, most aftermarket wheels accept BMW original TPMS sensors. We currently sell them for the 07-09 3 series for $49 per corner including stems. Unfortunately BMW changed sensors for 2010 and they are much more expensive at $113 each.

Unfortunately the web site isn't set up to accept orders for TPMS sensors at this time. I'd be happy to help over the phone or via email.

One way to get around the web problem would be to add a complete set of wheels to the cart, then the site will allow you to add the sensors. Next, delete the wheels from the shopping cart, so that all that will be left is the sensors.

Just refer to "Gary/e90post" as your previous contact towards the end of the order.
