USA e92 feautures us Canadians don't have!!??
Hi guys,
Well as some of you might know from my posts I am patiently awaiting delivery for my Alpine White on Coral Red 335i coupe. It should be arriving in January. So what better to do while waiting then browsing these forums and learning a little about the car i will be getting. So i came across a couple of options that our American friends seem to have on their e92's that we don't seem to have. First off the illuminated door handles. Basically the little lights that light up under the door handle. Secondly the HEATED/COOLED cupholder in the armrest. Can anyone who owns a e92 in Canada confirm whether we do or don't have these options... I looked on the bmw canada website and could not find any mention of these feautures. That would really suck if we don't. It's these little things that add to the overall experience of a vehicule in my opinion. Last edited by youyou; 11-08-2006 at 02:44 AM.. |

I will be going to the dealer today and will definitely look into it...
Do these items require a specific package or are they standard? Because again as noted when i read the standard feautures list on the bmw canada website their was no mention of either one... |

Well i just went into the dealer and sure enough we have both these options.
As for headlight washers unfortunately no we don't have them here... As well as real time traffic information for Nav owners and Satelite Radio. Which really sucks to be honest... I would love to have both these options. |

I'd like the RTTI too. It's possible this will become available for the GTA and the island of Montreal in the future (since its only available in a few US cities so far) but in the meantime, stick the following text onto your iDrive: GTA: DVP experiencing backup. Gardiner experiencing heartburn. 401 experiencing cardiac arrest. 400 north is beyond help. Montreal: Who cares about RTTI just don't stop under any bridges! |

I can totally relate. Fortunately, I no longer need to drive anywhere close to the 400 or the Gardiner during peak hours.

That's odd. I do have the cutouts for the headlight washers. I'm sure they are operational. |

Hey Canuck i see that you have Sirius satelite radio and you are in Montreal.
How did you get that? Is it controlled via the original bmw radio or do you have a seperate unit? I heard somewhere that bmw's are prewired for satelite radio... I'm only getting mine in January and would love to have satelite radio... |

Are the headlight washer caps recessed into it's groove and flush with the bumper on the E92? I think they sit ontop with my E90.

My car has the cutouts too, but they are not functional headlamp washers, in canada only the xi versions get the washers. This has been the case since the e90s were first released and has not changed for the coupe. BMW.ca under comparisons lists the washer feature only for the 328xi coupe and sedan. 328i and 335i don't have them.
