Minneapolis MN Cars & Cafe, Saturday April 3rd. (Start of the 2010 season!)

Hey guys,

I know it's hard to beleive that this snow will be gone in a month, but with this warmer weather we are expected to have, I have no doubt that we will be able to launch our 2010 season in April like we have the last 2 years.

As some of you that have attended one of these events, it has grown from a small gathering at Caribou with 30-40 cars to a montly showing of 400+ cars inside the Motorplex on any given First Saturday.

In order to keep things organised, please try to arrive as early as possible (the event starts at 8am) so that you can get a parking spot. We have gotten to the point where we have to turn people away or ask them to park in spectator parking when they arrive after 9:30 because there is no room.

Please keep the burnouts and hard launches for the track (May 1st). We need to be respectful of the property and our host as well as the garage owners that allow us to have our event at their place.

The location is the Minneapolis AutoMotorplex located at:
1740 Motorplex Ct. Chanhassen MN

For people traveling east of 494 we would encourage you to take the Crosstown (62) extension (HWY 5) the where it becomes 212, exit on Powers Blvd (Which is 1 exit past 101) go right, drive approx 500 ft and turn left on Lyman (at the light) travel approximately 1 mile, turn right on Audubon and we will be 1.1 mile on the left.

Thanks for the reminder and the pictures. There are some of us that are planning on going to this. Hopefully for those E9x owners that go are able to get good spaces....judging by the number of cars in that aerial pic.

I think it's usually 8-11am.

Maybe we should meet somewhere a little beforehand so we can all arrive together and form a nice orderly line of E9Xs

I only got there twice last year, and both times it was pretty hectic when everyone was arriving at the same time.

I like that idea....there are quite a few spots close to there, and it would be awesome if we were all together.

That would be awesome if some of us went and showed our cars. I decided to keep my current summer setups (CSL Reps) and have them powdercoated. So hopefully, I'll have them by then. *crosses fingers*

I won't be able to make it, I have to go to my parents for Easter. The upside is at least I will have a chance to detail my car Saturday. Next month though. I need to see if I convince my g/f's father to let me bring his GT3RS again.

What is the difference between showing up in your car and actually showing your car?

I plan on going but like i said im not sure what time. I'll have to give you guys a call once I get there. Any ideas what time you are going to meet before hand and where?

I would recommend parking in the designated BMW section inside the complex. That's what I did last year. Not that I felt I had a car worth showing, it's nothing special, but the idea is for all car enthusiasts to get together and talk cars, so I thought why not! Once you get there you will see a huge variety of vehicles, from pretty ordinary to ultra-exotic.

Anyway, I only live like 5 mins away from the place, so if y'all wanted to meet up at a Starbucks or Caribou a few mins early to roll in together that would be cool. I would be stopping in for my morning cup of joe anyway

Well it runs from 8.00 to 11.00 - so how about 7.45? We might as well be there from the start eh? There is a Caribou in Chanhassen just off Hwy 5 that's convenient to Motorplex - how about meeting there?

It's early for me too man, it takes a lot of effort to rise that early on a Saturday lol

The weather isn't looking the best for Saturday, was planning to wash the car tomorrow night, but probably not much point now...
