Error code Question

I have a 2008 E90 and bought a replica m3 front bumper from Jlewsv. The shop put it on but now I have an error code . They said that the M3 bumper has HID in the Fog lights so I have to turn my left and right turn signal on and it will disappear. Is this my only option? This doesnt sound right. How can I fix this problem? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately this is the case. You may be able to wire in a capacitor to avoid this.

The OBC check control goes thru a cycle during start up and by cycling the turn signal indicators, this clears the problem.
