GP Thunder 8500k V2 different colors
Is this normal? I bought these from e92-lighting.com
They seem to have different colors and I believe the true color is the driver side halos. This is with the ignition on. Daytime and night time also |

Voltage drop isn't going to account for different colors.

It's almost not worth returning or exchanging these as shipping is just going to add more cost to these bulbs. A bit off topic but I emailed a different vendor and they said V1 is made in Korea while V2 is made in China?

Not entirely, maybe you received v1 and v2 bulb or it could simply be a defective set. |

Actually, judging from the pics, it's either what Mike said, or they send you the 7500K bulb and the 8500K bulb LOL
Cuz my car has the appearance of your passenger side. Take a look at the bulbs again, maybe it'll be printed somewhere on there that it's 7500K and 8500K. I am 90% sure though that those are two different bulb temperatures |

when you buy it, it should've came with a box. the v2 box is different from v1 and it also tells you the temperature on the box. if the box is sealed, it should be a manufacture defect.

I have the V2 box and it says 8500K on the box.
The box looked sealed when I received it but it still looks sealed even when I opened it. One thing I noticed was that one of the bulbs was crooked inside the package when I got it. Like someone didn't place the bulb onto the "bulb holder bracket" properly.

I bought another set from an ebay vendor and they were V2. This time around, they matched! I guess the non matching ones will be back-up bulbs

Bump from the dead. So almost 41 months later, driver side started becoming flakey. Gave the exterior bulb out warning and the driverside AE wouldnt fade on when unlocked. It would not turn on randomly when ignition was on. Passenger side has no issues. Took out the bulb and replaced with e92lighting back up. Works fine with no warnings. Probably going Lux next.
