Headlight Advice
Hey everyone, I own a 2007 BMW 4-door sedan 328xi and ironically enough last month during a light snow storm my car slid on some ice and well my passenger headlight is all scratched up as is my bumper... The bumper can be fixed but I'll be in need of a new passenger headlight assembly and fog light. Although I wasn't quite ready to invest in angels eyes and all that good stuff it only seems right to do so now. So with that said I'm in search of a set of Xenon Angel eye Headlight assembly's and well I'm having NO LUCK in finding any that fit the XI model, or if I am than they're priced well over a $1000 and I'm not looking to spend more than $600 to be honest! My car currently has the regular standard headlights, no xenon and no angel eyes, so i figured its time to upgrade! I seen some on ebay and amazon but to be honest this is my first car and I'm not all that familiar with BMW's let alone the parts. Are CCFL's any good? Im getting mixed reviews... Can anyone suggest any sites where I can find me some decent headlights? Please & thank you.
Are these any good? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...item255714b787 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-0...item2a04b41a50 Last edited by i Fly in Xi; 02-24-2010 at 11:17 PM.. |

ugh there just so tempting and the price is great & I really don't want to spend more than $600. You wouldn't know of any sites with better options, would you? I really want Angel eyes!

I really want them too, but I just decided to wait and save up. I really don't want to spend more than $400 but I know if I'm going to do it, then it should be done right (even if it comes at a huge price). Hopefully someone else will chime in on here.

I agree a 100% but being that im only 18 and a $1000+ is like a lot for me to save up I might have to try these out and see for myself... but yeh some input from others would appreciated haha. The cheapest legit used bmw headlights with xenon angel eyes i found were 700 a piece =/

I wouldnt really want to spend anything over 6 either. Try the ebay ones out. Let us know how you like it.
Pros: HIDs, Angels, and looks like oe Cons: Not oem, not adaptive. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-0...#ht_2134wt_963 << I would go with these.

The ebay ones are absolutely horrible. Even the crappiest vendors on e90 post refuse to stock them.
The only quality option is OEM, and you'd be lucky to find those for under 1k. Even so, you'd still need a quality HID kit. |

I'm too tired to go through them, here are 3 thread though I just searched for:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112344 Page 10 start to have shit http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ght=ebay+angel http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ght=ebay+angel Seems like a lot of complaints that they didn't arrive in working order, but other than that some people seem to me satisfied with them Last edited by AllydNYC; 02-25-2010 at 02:44 AM.. |

It's kind of funny that EVERYONE who tries to upgrade their headlights always posts these cheap knock-offs up at so point in their search. Don't bother with those headlights, they are horrible. I'd rather you stay with your hologens then to convert over to that garbage.
I did a HID conversion using a OEM US Xenon headlight assembly and the canbus ballasts. The conversion was completly error free. Yes, this assembly will run you a bit over $1k but the way I look at it you got to pay to play. |

The OEM headlights are adaptive. Only problem is that if you want the adaptive feature to work you'd have to have the dealer replace your footwell module. Otherwise they will not be adaptive but that's really not a big deal with you adjust them correctly. I can't stress this enough.. If your serious about doing this conversion then use a OEM headlight unit, otherwise you are wasting your time and money. |
