Cant use the old trim. Most people wind up spending close to $1k to upgrade from non-sport to a sport wheel.

I don't see why you can't? They're basically the same except the M logo.

Different shape. While the old one will fit, there will be some minor fitment issues.

I think I know since I wrote the DIY, and have had just about every steering wheel combo there is (minus performance steering wheels).

Old trim will fit but it's not a perfect fit.

The M trim should only be around ~110-120 shipped new.

It states that it will, but I'm not 100% sure.

Same as M3 wheel. The trim fits, but not perfectly. The DIY by bavarian19
has many pictures with all kinds of trims.

Old trim fits pretty well, not perfect but not really noticable that anything is out of the ordinary.

Tischer sells it for $112 http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

Mine seems to fit perfectly, no movement in the trim, nothing. Mine is an 09 though.

I'm not sure if there was a difference with the trim from 07-09, but nice to know yours is good.

I don't think it was a problem, there was just a small gap that bothered some.
