Go all out.. or..
Well, i was thinking of getting coils used to save money (say, about $400-900 from what I've seen)
Or buy a brand new set for $1250-2000 (FK/H&R to KW V3s) I realize that when one doesn't track his or her car, they may not need all the features of say a PSS10 set or a V3 set. But, I canyon my car regularly.. would that be sufficient enough? The main reason I am looking at getting coils is because I miss the handling that my Porsches had in the past. Now, I know a BMW is NOT a Porsche.. but I would like that "drives on rails" feeling once again So, for mods in general, would you say to go all out and do it 'right' or get used and see what happens? (new you usually have warranty) Any input would be greatly appreciated. (I know this would be better in the suspension section due to the coil question, but the main mod question is general, so I posted it here)

If your canyon running the car aound here, i would say get the V1's or V2's
the V3 are overkill on adjustments that youy dont really need unles your at the track all the time. canyons arent tracks, and from what I hear the V1's come with a great balance of performance and ride comfort, and are height adjustable, V2 are a little more with damping adjustability. Which is all you would need. Dont go all out, go Kinda out |

I wouldn't risk "used" suspension parts or tires...safety concern and piece of mind for me...go all out.

i'll tell you what my girlfriend told me today while shopping for rims... "You drive an expensive car, you shouldnt go cheap on rims" (i ended up spending $4500 lol). Sooooo with that said, if you wanted the cheap way, you shoulda bought a honda, otherwise, buy stuff thats suited for the kind of car you drive.

$1000 for a set of coilovers for a BMW 335i is cheap man... Think about how much $$ if you were to replace a blown/damaged suspension from the dealership without warranty
A set of V1s is good enough. |
