Just ordered new tires - Vredestein Sessanta - performanceplustire.com

Spent about 3-4 days browsing heavily on various forums for tires..Used to run GY Eagle F1s, great tires but too expensive as I burn through them quickly and they don't have great thread wear rating...then I had General Exclaim UHPs and really like the bang for the buck I got with those and they're really great as daily driver tires...i actually did my best 1/4 mile run on these, better than what I did on my goodyears...i know ppl will bash me for saying this about these tires BUT I really didn't have any bad experience whatsoever...and now was the time to buy a new set...I almost decided to go for Generals again but decided to search a bit and see if anything new came out...

They're called Vredestein Sessanta...Not new on the market, BUT these tires seem to be AMAZING when looking at all the great reviews they're getting everywhere on the net as well as various magazines...I can't wait to mount them on my new VMR VB3s coming in a 2-3 weeks...

For price, I found the best deal at:

performanceplustire.com

Here's some discussion on them from the G35 guys:

please write up a review when you mount them. i have seen and heard about these wheels. please pay a little extra attention to how the sidewalls are on them. like if they are too soft too weak.

Nice! I got my Sessanta's from the same place.

They are the best tire's I've ever driven on. They can even handle some light snow on roads, as there was some on roads today. They hook really good, and incredible in the rain.

Can't go wrong with these tires.

I just mounted these as well, from the same place, insane grip. Wet traction is awesome as well, drove through some heavy rain last night and it felt as if the roads were dry. I got 245 up front and 275 in the rear.

Is this on an E92? Any rubbing with these sizes?

General exclaime 275 rubbed on my e92. I dropped down to 265's and no rubbing now. The rubbing wasn't bad, but over big dips in the road and bumps you could hear it hit. Just not worth the 5 tenths of an inch to me in width gains to run the 275's. I’m planning on getting the Vredteins on my next set and would like to see what you think compared to the generals.

vreds cannot be compared to generals

I had generals first...they are garbage...

when you roll around for the first time on the vreds you will wonder why you ever subjected yourself to the generals

How do you think they compare to the Continental DW? Anyone have experience with both?

I wouldn't say generals are garbage at all..I went from GY eagle f1 to these and I was very satisfied using them as street tires, not tracking...I actually did my best ever 1/4 run on generals (275/30/19) so I have to say I liked them very much especially for the price..

Vredesteins I'm getting are 245/35/19 and 275/30/19

From what I've read, the Vreds have a very stiff sidewall, even moreso than the PS2's, whereas the Hankooks have a very soft sidewall compared to both.
This should lead to better handling at the cost of comfort with the Vreds I would assume.
