Terrible R8 crash

Came across this on another forum. Pretty scary stuff, be safe guys. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the second photo

Look how the Tach and Speedo are positioned, looks like he was going at least 100 km/h.

I think it is safe to assume the driver died from this accident...

Wow, that is one lucky guy.

The guard rail looks like it would have killed someone. That is nuts.

How that guard rail that went straight through the cabin managed to miss decapitating the driver and passenger is just pure luck. Someone on board must have had a horseshoe shoved up their ass.

lol ok there chief. A metal guardrail ripping through the cars cabin and not killing both occupants is nothing short of a miracle.

Agreed upon that.

Alberta has specifications that recommend that the guardrails are buried into the ground or flared out enough to prevent cars from being skewered. It surprisingly isn't an unknown problem when it comes to cars vs barriers...(and in most cases, it's fatal).

The fact that both of them survived...just pure luck. Good reminder of how speed can kill.

When I think about "horseshoes up my ass" losing both my lower limbs does not come to mind.

If you didn't die from an accident like that, I would consider the person extremely lucky. Losing his legs is seriously the last of his worries.
