Is anyone else going to buy the e92 aero kit from the US?

Just wondering; I will probably end up with a different setup in the future but for now I wouldn't mind the front/sides of the aero kit. Of course in Canada it's $4000 painted and installed, and from the US it's under $1200 primed. I'm looking for a dealer to purchase it from, but will let you guys know how it goes.

Cheers.

Is the aero kit the same as the m-sport kit? Because I got quoted 1461 plus paint for that kit from the dealership?

You know I priced it all out and it's cheaper to just get it in Canada. First time I think I've ever said that. So I think come spring I will grab it and have it painted.

It isn't even a bumper, it's a lip. The dealer price is $486, so if you buy it for that, pay ~$200 to paint it then install it yourself you save $~700. If you don't want to install it yourself go over to RMP or something and odds are Rocco will install it for $100.

The cost is about $300 CDN.

Has anyone ever used this on their car before? Does it really work? Is it worth the money?

Just the thought of paint swirls on my new baby makes me cry like a little girl.

It's a paint sealant, the same stuff you can buy online for $25. It won't protect your car from swirls, nothing can except proper washing. Sealants protect your car from the elements. The stuff they put on will come with a warranty that tells you you need to have it re-applied every 6 months to a year. You're better off either doing it yourself (read this: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41760) or taking it to a detailer of your choice.

Part number is 51110414371, just e-mail the parts dept from local dealerships until you get that price. I doubt any of them stock it, but they can all get it quickly.

Its not just the lip, the center of the bumper extends out further than the stock bumper. Has more dimension which adds a little excitement to the boring front end... i like it

Went to my dealer today here in Montreal.
Cost of the Aero front is 496$.
Paint and install is 350$.
So it's about 850$ installed and painted...
It's the rear of the Aero kit that costs alot.
The rear Aero is 1500$ + 350 for paint and install...

Dealer here charges:

Front bumper: $496.50 without paint
Rear bumper: $892.50 without paint

Note: quote is without the adaptive cruise control for front, and without park distance control rear.
