Do I need TPMS sensor?
Hey guys,
Im buying a new set of wheels and option is to buy tmps sensors but Im not sure they will work here in europe? The car is from the US tho. Does anyone know, dont want to spend 200 bucks for something that wont work. Regards Norb |

you don't need them. the tire sensor light just comes on in the display. hit the stalk and the large one in the display goes away and just the small one in the corner stays lit. if it really bothers you, your dealer can change the vo so they dont read as there (at least according to my dealership). supposedly a autologic programmer can do this as well.

its not as simple and hitting a button, if it is us specs i would strongly get tpms sensors because it will annoy the shit out of you

TPMS stands for Tire-Pressure Monitoring System is to measure air pressure in your tires....if one of your tires is losing air, it will tell you.

i would contact a sponsor and find out, but it is annoying as hell when there is no tpms sensor, i drove around with it for a week and couldnt stand the annoying sound

Its not that I DONT want it, I do want it but I just want it to work here in Europe, dont want to waste 200 bucks and have to buy a new set here in europe.

non US cars may not use TPMS, they might still be using FTM.
bmw switched for the US market because of the TREAD act. for a time, US cars had tpms while Canadian cars kept FTM. does your car have rubber or aluminum valve stems
