335 vs honda accord 08
Hello hello. kind of a newbie here but i've been reading a lot of the posts here and enjoying the passion. I just got myself a brand new 335 and the first two days were exciting but were a bit disappointing. i felt that the 335 was a bit sluggish and felt heavy compared to maneuvering my honda accord. i can drive my accord with one hand but the Bimmer needs two hands. i was a bit sad and felt like i wasted my money for nothing. It was the break in period so i'm taking it kinda slow. bottom line my honda felt like a feather compared to my 335
Then things started to get loose and i'm getting more grip with the bimmer. the ability to jump from 100km/h to 150km/h in a split second with no engine effort just amazes me while keeping the honda at 120 feels like a big effort. i don't over speed and i usually drive 110 to 120km/h but when i punch it the adrenaline just starts pumping through my whole circulatory system and the rush is just amazing. it's like a warp zone when i decide to push it and just pass everybody and feeling the power. then it gets even better during our exit in the highway my girlfriend is usually holding on to some thing when we get into that turn at 60km/h. with the bimmer i was going 100km/h and my girlfriend did not hold on to anything. i even asked her what happened and she said wow i didn't feel that. just plain amazing. i'm so happy right now and i think my bimmer is worth every penny and all the possible headaches that will come with it. the new car smell is alaso breath taking. the angel lights, the comfort access. i wish i can sleep in the 335i. the only good part with my Honda that beats the bimmer hands down is the space in the rear seat. when i use my honda accord the usual reaction when i have passengers in the rear seat is "wow very spacious!". with the bimmer they get awestruck before riding it but they have to compress to fit when riding it. sorry for the long post just wanted to share my first few days as a BMW owner. and so far so amazing |

"Tighter" steering is a definite PLUS IMO. I came from an Audi RS4, and I didn't like the steering b/c it felt too "assisted". The steering feel is one of the best thing I like about BMWs.
When you can turn the wheel 180-360 degrees with one finger...be concerned

I learned how to drive on a Camry and it felt so jittery and nervous compared to my old e90, not very confidence inspiring.

A loose steering wheel doesn't mean a car is lighter or more nimble.

you want loose steering??? then you bought the wrong damn car. sports cars always have tighter steering because the speed your going requires minute input from the steering wheel. If a sports car is going 120-150mph, you don't want the wheel to suddenly radically change directions.
If you like loose steering, I highly recommend Toyotas. Also the new Acura's with electric-assisted steering are super feather light. |

I wish my steering was just a bit tighter in the 335, so I cant imagine how crappy the accords steering must be, lol. Go take some sharp turns in both cars, then come back and comment. Have fun.

Buyer's remorse.
BMW steering will surprise you if you aren't expecting something like it, but believe me that once you are used to the tight steering there's nothing like it. Sometimes after I've been driving my MG for a good week-long stint I'll get back into my BMW and the tightness of the steering will shock me, however I get used to it again and so will you. Don't be upset about the car without really giving it a chance. |

i really bought it for the experience. never had a chance to drive a luxury/sports car before. trust me i've research as much as i can through the forums and all i saw was 335i versus this and that and all the hpfp crap. like i said i came from a japanese car and it's a new experience for me. also please read the whole post. some of you think i'm trolling around and have a buyer's remorse when in fact i've learn to enjoy it.
