Advice for all square set up for e90 xi.
Hey guys, im looking for new wheels.
-I currently have staggered 19/8.5 et 35 and 19/9.5 et 33 VMRV710's -I'm thinking on going all square now because of understeer. Im looking toward Forgestar F14 18/8.5, help me with offset! What is the most aggressive offset i can run without running into problems. I would be getting 245/40/18 tires. Since i cannot overcome the fact that my rear will tucked in with the same front and rear offsets. I would like to know if i run 18/8.5 with 245/40/18 all around with different offsets will it be better than my current set up? There will be a drop with kw v1's in the future as well. use et35 all around, but add a 10 or 15mm spacer on the rear. You might be able to get away with et30 or 32, but I'd measure, because you might rub up front with a 245 tire.

How about something is between 30-35? I dont want to use spacers, i've had back experience with spacers and plus im all wheel drive, i always felt that spacers felt weird.

the issue is that the front and rear would require different offsets to be flush. the fronts would probably be flush at et35, but the rears wouldn't. you'd need et25 or so (hence the 10mm spacer). you could get different offsets on the front and rear wheels, but then you'd lose the ability to rotate your tires.
what kind of problems have you had with spacers? Mine (10mm) seem to be just fine, but I'm rwd. |

Ive had this happen to me once before. Not fan of spacers because of this, but I know there are sound products out there. |

It's proven that the E9X M3 18" front wheel with the factory 245/40 fits on the front of the E90 with no rubbing, and it is ET29... With an xi you should have even more room.

Thats good news. I hear it all depends on the tire i choose as well. If i were to go 32 or below with offset, will the front be out further than my rear, or may appear to look that way. Also, as for rubbing, what if i were to drop it with kw v1s?

Perhaps im thinking of....going 18/8.5 with different front and rear offsets....may b even 19''.
My only concern was understeer, and a more aggressive look. |

I am lowered on KW V3 and have run the following square setups:
I run 19x8.5 +35 with 235/35/19 during summer and 18x8.5 +35 with 225/40/18 during winter. I use 5mm spacer on all four corners too so my offest becomes +30. I've noticed slight rubbing in the front with my winter setup when making sharp turns quickly. It doesn't concern me very much though. I didnt get rubbing with my summer setup.
