here is my mr 5 intake version that id like to share to e90post community.
i decided to used 3" piping all the way for better air flow.

sound: louder than airbox with drop in filter. you can actually hear the intake sucking some air! but not as loud as logic and afe. compare to dci was the loudest intake ive used.

performance: i wish i have a vbox.

sorry for my dirty engine bay!

That actually doesn't look to bad. If only you can make that pipe a one piece unit.

updated with a bigger pic.
one piece mandrel bend pipe would be nice. expensive to have it custom made, especially if they know its for bmw.

Very nice and clean! Looks factory made. Where do you have it connected to the airbox? Did you just cut a whole in the right side?
