Who is interested in FCABs for the Ms
For those that don't know, there aren't any options for us in terms of FCABs, our bushings are unique to our car in terms of size and the fact they are offset.
The only options revolve around changing to a centered bushing which results in loss of handling and caster. I may be able to get a solution done if there is interest. It would be a "solid" design but the increase in vibration would be minimal. The install would also be quite simple, and require only a jack/stands and a basic socket and ratchet. Price would be in the 200-300 range per set. What is an FCAB? The FCAB is what transmits the braking force of the front wheels into the chassis. Essentially when you brake, the force of the front wheels gripping is applied into this bushings (laterally toward the center). The location of the control arm in this bushing also sets caster (laterally toward the outside = more caster) This bushing is also responsible for force distribution from the front wheels during cornering. Stiffening this bushings results in more precise control in both braking and cornering as well as longer life.

Absolutely. I have a set of Treehouse racing bushings (designed for the E36), while they are great at creating a stable car under heavy braking, I have lost quite a bit of steering feedback and the car feels numb going through the corners.

How did you use e36 style housings for your M coupe? They are completely different mounting, and actually are offset properly. Or did you mean you have the ones for the e46?

You know I'm down. Do you have a picture of the existing bushing compared to E46 M3 aftermarket ? We might be able to make something work or machine one on the lathe depending on the difference in design.

I bought them from Bimmerworld, but it was last year and I don't recall who I spoke with personally. He was certain the offset would match.
They didn't, but I put them in anyway because the car was unstable under hard braking.

Yea, they still list them as offset, which they are 100% not. Confused me for a while too.

No, they don't really want to do it unfortunately. Going to have to find something though, stock bushing just wont cut it on track.
