full catless, straight-pipes exhaust
I have a 2007 335i which currently has catless downpipes, catless x-pipes, and catless mid pipes, I currently have my stock muffler system; i heard my exhaust, and it wasn't as loud as i thought. I was thinking of doing my exhaust without my mufflers and just to add straight pipes with quad muffler tips. My question is, will my car sound sick? will it be ridiculously loud were i cant hear myself talk in my car? and if anyone has this done, can you plz post a link of a video to hear an example of it, and tell me your experience with it. |

There will be TONS of RASP for sure....I can't stand that at all, and I would think you would feel the same if you had it done to your car!..
That doesn't sound exotic at all Last edited by cn555ic; 01-27-2010 at 07:47 PM.. |

Yes but you have to drive in it everyday to understand the extent of the rasp..Sure hearing it is nice from the outside but actually being inside the car, its entirely different and annoying...Heck if thats the exhaust tone your looking for, then taking off the mufflers and straight pipe will do it for you for sure..Good luck and give us a video of how it sounds once your done!

Anytime you remove the mufflers, it's guaranteed to be loud. Especially straight pipes. Unless you want to be a target for the cops, I would keep those mufflers on.
