Ring Gear Visible Through Filler Hole?

Without pulling the plug, to check myself, does anyone know if you can see the ring gear well enough to see if it is bolted or welded via the filler hole? My vehicle is right at the date when they changed over so I am not sure which I have. I would rather not drop it just to check it out and was hoping I may be able to see well enough through the filler.

I think if you PM Harold with your VIN he'll be able to tell you whether it's bolted or welded.

Yea, I will most likely try this way but thought I'd ask just in case.

I would have pulled the plug already but the repair manual states to replace the seal which I do not have one.
