My Exhaust is Loud - But I'm Stock?

Picked up the car about a month ago... Loving it so far. Slowly building my mods list. I wonder about the exhaust on my car though, its pretty loud (which I dont mind) but I wonder if its stock/normal or if the previous owner might have done something to it. - I've read up on the Golf Tee Mod, etc. But I bought the Car as a CPO, and the dealer said they went over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure everything was stock. When I start it up its pretty loud until it warms up, When Revving it up (its a Manual) its louder than any other stock 335i I've heard, if I rev it up pretty high in 1st/2nd and let it Rev Down it Burbles, and Pops (sounds badass in parking garages and tunnels). I looked under the car and didnt notice anything, but havnt checked anything else. Just seems much louder to me than any other 335 I've heard driving around... maybe its because I'm in the car now??

Any other owners think the same think about their stock exhaust? It makes me wonder if I wanna even upgrade to something else - Even though I would like it a bit louder - and was leaning towards purchasing the BMW Perf. Exhaust. I'll have to take some Vid when it stops raining....

Check the exhaust flap to see if its still working. My car is completely stock but I noticed that my exhaust flap broke a couple months back. It sounds alot louder and that's pretty much the only reason i havent taken it to the dealer to have it repaired. The car did the golf tee mod on its own so im happy

Yea I'm assuming it has something to do with the flap.... I was hoping that the previous owner installed a BMW Perf. Exhaust!!! What should I look for?

also keep in mind that a stock E92 will be louder than a stock E90, if that's what you're comparing yours to

I had a buddy with a e92, and you couldnt hear it coming down the road, like you can hear my car.... There are alot more e90's that I've seen and those are whisper quiet compared to my car. Sometimes I think its because its a Manual, and I rev it up so its louder than most of the 335's that are AT.

I doubt it could be DP's with the car being CPO'd.....

Well, the mufflers should have something inscribed in them that say performance exhaust. And secondly, the OEM BMW PE tips are not double walled and are chrome.

Check the connector in the left tail light, maybe it is disconnected. My E92 aut with this mod is not as loud as my friend E92 manual with the same mod. So the manual is way louder than auto, so I guess what you are hearing is normal. GL

what is this golf tee mod? I'm guessing it keeps the flapper valve open at all times...
