Interest in A-Pillar Gauge Pod
I know that the we have a side curtain airbag on the 135/335, but we really need an option for gauges that are in our line of sight. I know the E46 crowd uses a simple DIY with a 2.0 ohm 1/4 watt resistor w/5% resistance to disable the side curtain air bag without triggering the airbag light. I absolutely love the look of the a-pillar gauges, so I was curious if anyone else would be interested in this?
PLEASE NO LECTURES HERE, JUST WHETHER YOU WOULD BE INTERESTED. |

I definitely want some, maybe 6 or 7 pillar gauges for my slammed civic - airbags are for wusses anyway!

I know that this isn't directly in the line of sight, but here is my CMGS gauge mounted with a prototype aluminum bracket I made that is attached to the column via industrial velcro. Very handy and quickly removable. Sorry about the image size and quality. Cell phone pics suck.

This is true, but if you don't mind not seing the gear indicator and clock, it works great. The gauge leaves the tach and speedo unobstructed, so it works for me as I don't need the gear indicator for shifts as I use the tach. The good thing is that it is right there between your eyes when glancing at the other gauges, but out of the way.

Not a chance! While a gauge may help, putting it on the A-pillar is, like others have said, too-Honda Civic-like.
