PRocede v4: CAN-based Naturally Aspirated mode
Yes, that's right. Another thing I'm testing now is a naturally aspirated performance mode. This is NOT the same thing as a limp mode which barely makes enough power to accelerate up your driveway. This is an honest-to-god no-code performance mode that should make approx 200hp and get another 3-4mpg on the highway. Much of this comes from keeping the wastegates completely open which improves pumping efficiency and never having to run richer than stoich. And running a timing curve that would make a 330i proud
I'm doing this for fun now that the rain is preventing me from doing any on-boost testing. If you guys want me to make this a map option with v4, let me know. It's surprisingly fun to drive given its fuel economy focus. Cheers, Shiv |

Yes, I think this would be really useful for long-distance cruises on the 5.
Be careful though, Shiv, lest you be accused of becoming a P(r)ius hippie: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=economy+mode |

I would love to have this start-up in place of valet mode. 95% of the driving I do is my daily drive (100 mi/day). Without consciously trying I've gone 3 days without boosting. I still see 24.5 mpg on a tank.

+1 for valet mode. Especially after seeing some recent videos of what valet guys do to cars

yes we want it...i was praying for something like that . A stock-like valet map is still very fast for someone that gets his hands on our car.
