Coolingmist, CMGS V1.07 Sneak Peak. Full compatibility Map switching

The CMGS FS offers some features not found anywhere else. in April of 2009 we released the CMGS, which was the successor to our original Vari-Cool system that was released in 2005. We released the product simply as a progressive controller, flow gauge. The high performance, precision and simplicty of the CMGS has proven wildly successful. In late summer 2009 we made the biggest change to the CMGS by adding a full failsafe ability. This enabled the CMGS to be the worlds first all in one boost gauge, progessive controller, failsafe and flow gauge.

Today I am happy to announce our biggest change in our upcoming 1.07 flash. There are many new features that will make our customers happy and make our controller even more flexible. Version 1.07 is available however, 1.06 is still the version we are producing for retail. If you need/want a 1.07 you must specify when you place the order. Shortly it will become standard.

The goal with CMGS has always been to have a simple all in one design, that is cost effective and easy to use/install. There is no laptop required to setup as you just have to go through menus. For those of you that are lost with all the features, just remember that you dont need to use all of the features. Also, note that to some of you the diagrams may look complicated. When you make such statements, atleast keep in mind that our diagram is inclusive of your boost gauge, failsafe, flow gauge and progressive controller. If you compare what it takes to wire all of those seperate, you will appreciate how clean and simple the CMGS really is.

I will be listing feature changes and updates in this thread as well as the PDF document that detail all. Its no secret that Coolingmist is the meth system of choice for the JB tuner. Due to this we have native ability to change maps with the JB3

JB3 REQUIREMENTS: JB3 2.0 software or newer. G3 hardware or newer

For the JB3 the diagram is simple:
Please note that you must configure the CMGS 5V output wire for this to work. This is the diagram assuming you have set the controller up.

We do not want to leave any of the other customers that have other tuning boxes in the dark. We realize that many of you with these other units would prefer to have our system. We have worked to make our system compatible. Please note that we are not in any way affiliated with Vishnu products, nor do we endorse them. This is simply an option for those of you that wish to have a full featured meth system.

For those of you that want to switch between two maps, have the meth off during the base map (but still show boost) and have the system on during the higher map but also be able to automatic switch back to the lower map if your flow gets disrupted here is your diagram:

Please note this is the diagram, however you need to set the CMGS up to work in this manner:

For those of you that have the progressive flow mapping, you would follow this diagram. Please note that this diagram shows you the output wire, this gives you the 0-5V flow signal, you must connect this to the correct flow input wire on your procede.

An interesting note, with this version you do not have to set the failsafe up, you simple set the 0-5V output wire to send .1 volts for every 100 ML/M of flow. If you set the failsafe up as well, your CMGS will alert you if there is a flow problem so its still recommended.

Here is the datasheet that details the features. Anyone who is remotely interested in our kit should read it. It should describe how the set the system up and detail all of the features. I hope its pretty clear. I will update this as needed.

I got my CMGS FS system today, thanks :-) The car is garaged for winter at the moment due to severe winter conditions. Test reports will come later.

I assume since you have a procede you are an enthusiast so it would be right up your alley. You can run the advanced map without worrying that the meth is going to run out. You will not need to run race gas, etc.

our cmgs is a boost gauge as well, so you will see your boost.

if your not looking for more power, safer power I would say this mod is not for you, but since you have a nice mod list I think otherwise

Questions? Let me know.

yes. You would have to speak with Terry in reference to the way its wired on your system. Its my understanding that JB is only officially supporting map switching on the new platform. This does not mean it does not work, but for install questions see terry.

The 1.07 will not benefit your setup any more than the 1.06. Most of the 1.07 enhancements were designed to address mapswitching on the procede and other systems.

let me know if I can help more.

I remember seeing the Elise out front when I was there years ago. Are you at the same location (I think I asked before); I was there December of 2006?

No, we spent the last 4 years in that shop and the one on buford highway, however they recently sold those warehouses. We have not decided if we are moving the company or staying here, so at the moment we are internet only.

if we gave out the flash code I can think of 1 meth kit manufacturer that would pirate our system and sell it as there own product, so we cant allow you to flash it as we must keep our code private. Hardware is easily copied, code is where the difficulty lies. Besides, you would have to buy $120 freescale multlink device anyway.

You send to us, just pay shipping both ways and we flash it. you can pm us for the address if you choose to.

Sounds fair to me David..

I may wait a little while until the JB3 2.0 is finalized and there isnt any more updates to the CMGS

thanks so much, I was hoping it would be easy to understand. this is going to be part of the new instruction pack. Last night I changed the file to indicate differences from 1.06 to 1.07. The ones highlighted in red are 1.07 specific and the new changes. If you dont have that version re-download it as its the same format but shows a few enhanced things.
