ASR Closed-Intake Installed!

Hey guys, well here you go as promised, the new ASR intake is now in final production and ready for sale and distribution. I was really impressed by the final form, the powder-coating is flawless and the brackets and fitment was perfect. The welds are nearly hidden by the powder coat and the lexan just makes it flashy

With any amount of air-speed in front of the car, this intake will out perform, flow wise, any other on the market. On a dyno, with a shitty fan, you wont see the gain, so I havn't gone to the dyno yet, a real improvement will be on the road

enjoy the pictures:

Looks fantastic as for asthetics, but IMO it will work exactly like the OEM intake, but 10x better looking.....This looks like it will be pricey also....

it looks great, only thing i see wrong is the size may give some people running bov's or other aftermarket parts clearance issues due to its size

Hey oddjob, I was reading all the arguments on 1addicts when ASR first showed the prototype (or was it you who showed it off?). Did ASR ever post up their data, I think I remember them talking about getting on the dyno with their intake vs. the stock airbox etc.

They seemed really adamant that it would outperform pretty much everything, so I'm really interested to see their results

To be honest JP, I can NEVER see this intake outperform other intakes, maybe the most is be on the same level, well at least with the OEM stock intake box!!

Maybe they should pay vendor fees if they wanna start selling their intake. They can use the 2800 bucks they still owe me.

All this work into this intake, they should really focus on turbo upgrades which is what everyone wants, but they come out with this????

It looks really cool almost like one of those speaker-boxes with the see-through plexi-glass, maybe they should add one of those neon lights in there to illuminate the inside to show the filter!

I have to say this looks really odd? The idea of a DCI is to maximize surface area to draw air from all directions with no restrictions whatsoever. This defeats every single thing the DCI attempts to do by creating restrictions in all directions to draw air from. I am not sure what to think?

These guys are rediculous. He called me back the first time when I posted their horrible dishonest business practices on this forum. Promised me he'd refund the money. Then disspears for another three weeks.

Didn't you send them cash months ago? Wow.. I thought this was resolved already. Good luck with getting your money back.
