All in my head? JB+ topic...
So pretty much I have my JB+ at 75% and have since gotten use to the power level. Its nothing spectacular but as I have said in the past, as long as I am faster than your average run of the mill 335i then I am happy. I installed my alarm this past week and unplugged the battery.
When everything was squared away I plugged the battery back in and took it for a drive and I was kind of shocked of how much more responsive the car felt then before. It actually pulled harder and better than when I had the JB+ in there for a while.. So my question is did pulling the battery help or am I just imagining things? Or when I pulled the battery it reset stuff and the car had to re-learn the JB+?

By unplugging the battery you may have reset the ECU, allowing for the tune to readapt to the freshly reset ECU....
but this is all pure conjecture. Placebo effect? perhaps. |

yep it learns driving styles and sets up the car for those common driving parameters so disconnecting clears its memory and it learns over from scratch. I have heard that if you drive conservative it will learn to set itself up as such but if you drive hard then it will keep performance all the time. I also was told this is only true for D in the automatic that DS goes to the programmed sport mode.
Not sure I believe that as what would the 6MT guys do then as they dont have a seperate sport function it is just their feet and hands making the shifts? any other info anyone can share one way or another....?
