All in my head? JB+ topic...

So pretty much I have my JB+ at 75% and have since gotten use to the power level. Its nothing spectacular but as I have said in the past, as long as I am faster than your average run of the mill 335i then I am happy. I installed my alarm this past week and unplugged the battery.

When everything was squared away I plugged the battery back in and took it for a drive and I was kind of shocked of how much more responsive the car felt then before. It actually pulled harder and better than when I had the JB+ in there for a while..

So my question is did pulling the battery help or am I just imagining things? Or when I pulled the battery it reset stuff and the car had to re-learn the JB+?

By unplugging the battery you may have reset the ECU, allowing for the tune to readapt to the freshly reset ECU....

but this is all pure conjecture.

Placebo effect? perhaps.

yep it learns driving styles and sets up the car for those common driving parameters so disconnecting clears its memory and it learns over from scratch. I have heard that if you drive conservative it will learn to set itself up as such but if you drive hard then it will keep performance all the time. I also was told this is only true for D in the automatic that DS goes to the programmed sport mode.
Not sure I believe that as what would the 6MT guys do then as they dont have a seperate sport function it is just their feet and hands making the shifts?

any other info anyone can share one way or another....?
