Exclamation DIY - Proper Brake Cooling/Duct System

My previous brake cooling system I made for the OEM brake system works.
DIY - CHEAP Brace Duct System

The standard BMW brakes will not survive the hard driving style of a pro on track, even with the cooling. Some call it abuse, whatever, the brakes can't take it...for very long.
Spa Trackday: BIBLICAL FL brake failure (Glowing Disc!)

The BMW Motorsport cooling system used in the GT4 (1300 Euro) does not give sufficient cooling to the GT4 AP brake System. GT4 buddies of mine where complaining.

So after I cooked the brakes in Spa. And unwilling to pay BMW for a system expensive system, that's not up to the task. I took the matter into my own hands.

I bought a Stoptech BBK F+R.

I ordered the biggest spindle brake ducts i could find.

I made a 'small' measurement F#*k up when converting US to Metric.
The brake spindle accepts a 5'' brake duct hose. I converted that to 10Cm.
I was running a 7Cm brake ducting hose @ the time, so i should fit.
5''=12.5Cm! DO'H!

Left the standard part. Right the cut-up version so it fits the car.

I got the LF one to fit, and used a piece of paper to get the outlines of the material i cut out. So i could trace it over on the RF part.

The standard hose acceptor is way to long and will hit the suspension.

Not much left...

Will keep u updated!
