Does anybody know how much the dash costs through a dealer? I am going to put a touch screen with a custom made cpu. i currently do not have navi. Thx.

that's correct, but you have to pick the right part number according to your interior trim color.

well, it'll cost an arm and a leg at the dealer. dash is a deep job.

looks like APPROXIMATELY 8 hours labor to replace the dash, at the dealer.

I think it will be cheaper and easier if you get the flit out screens like the avic-n3

You will also need new components around the stock radio, climate? and the support beam behind the dash, its all different.

Its doable, but there are several different parts involved. Be sure you get it all!

Instead of wasting your time with iDrive, why don't you look into something aftermarket like this:
