LUX LED Fog Lights??

Been running some numbers and i've got a new idea and concept ready to go.. LUX LED Fog Lights.

These would be 100% plug-and-play and they would fit into the OEM Housing. They would provide a perfect 6500k Color and would be bright

Brightness - 1400 Lumen

Lifespan - Virtually forever

Price - Roughly $225

These would be make to fit H8 and H11 housings

Whats the potential interest in these??

Im down, but thats pretty $$ for lights I hardly use. The unlimited lifespan would pay for themselves in the long run tho.

If these go into production, you should do a package deal too - LUX AE's + LUX Fogs.
I would have gone for that if the price was reasonable.

A good idea. Also interested in finding out the pros and cons because for a cheaper price you get xenons fogs.

Pro's
- There would be a virtually unlimited Lifespace for these
- They would be 100% error free without having to use any resistor cables

Are there even strong enough LED's that can actually illuminate the road to use as real fogs?

Just wondering, if they were bright as hell, I'd get them in a heartbeat at that price range.

@ 1400 lumens ....it's about 1.5X more light than a traditional halogen bulb.

I have HID fog (just under 3000 lumens) with the digital Canbus ballast and use it for both look & functonality.

These would be in the range of 1400 lumen. OEM bulbs are around 650-700 Lumen. Any Halogen bulb that's 6500k or 8000k has an output closer to 500 lumen or less due to the blue coating on the outside of the bulb

So - Yes, these will be MUCH brighter then stock bulbs, and will blow away any colored halogen bulb.

I bought the LUX H8s and am pretty happy with them.

I would prefer the fogs to be yellow though.
