Footwell Module codes thrown? And, Where do TPMS receivers mount to?
I cleared some codes off my car today. However there is one code that puzzles me and its related to the, "Footwell Module". It says it was not able to communicate with my left and right mirrors. When I test my mirrors they work fine. Anyone have an idea what this module is, where its located and what it has to do with my mirrors?
Second question, my car is missing both front TPMS receivers. I have the antannaes as well as the little box that holds them and am told they are suppose to mount to the inner fender wells, but I cannot locate anywhere for them to bolt up. Can anyone go look that may have access? |

The footwell module, I believe, is the interface between all non-engine and non-CCC devices such as lights, windows, sensors, and, as you've discovered, mirrors, etc. I believe it is located in the footwell opposite the driver.
The TPMS receivers are behind the felt wheel well liners above the wheels.

they mount to the plastic liners themselves with pop clips i think..if need be you could probably zip tie them in the front portion of the liner

Is anyone able to take a picture of exactly where the tpm receivers attatch? I have no idea after looking. I have a huge hole where the vent cover is supposed to be for the oil cooler my car doesn't have on the pass side and there is another hole in the driver side, with one single largish hole for some sort of bolt or something. I'll paypal someone 20 bucks to go take a shot of their mounted tpm and if possible the type of snap/bolt/etc used to attach it. Thanks. And better yet, a part # for that bolt I have a feeling it connects to a piece of the fender well that isn't really the fender well its just a cover or something that connects to it.

I am currently having a problem with my footwell and door-bottom lights staying on whenever the headlights are on. This problem happened shortly after I monkeyed around in the driver's side door panel to resolder a speaker connection.
Any ideas what is wrong? How could I have screwed up something in the door panel causing the footwell and door bottom lights to stay on all the time when the main lights are on? |
