Not sure of the sensors' whereabouts but any time you are doing involved work on the car you should have the battery disconnected anyway. Just take off the negative battery terminal and be worry free!

+1. Did it last Friday and had no issues. Didn't d/c the battery either.

Unless you intend to somehow cause an impact to the front of your car at > 1g while removing the bumper, you should be ok!
