Unexpected Mod...
I installed my LED Blacklines last weekend with both signal and reverse LED bulbs installed. This weekend my father asked me "why I put strobes in the back of the car" and I told him I didn't know what he meant. He started the car for me so I could stand behind it and saw what he was talking about...
Needless to say I have replaced the signal and reverse bulbs back to stock. I'm not tryng to get pulled over for something stupid, but wanted to share this with everyone before I reversed it. The car was flashing bulb errors even though there were resistors installed. I guess this was the result of the start up diagnostics the car runs on all bulbs. Interesting. -Matt

This was surprising to me when I saw it. I have installed LED's in probably 5 other vehicles and this has never happened. Although none of those vehicles ran full bulb diagnostics on start-up either. Who knows maybe that effect will appeal to some owners?

This happens to me as well. I have been told that my LED tail lights strobe while I am driving.

LOL, those lights make your E90 look like an undercover squad car.
I've got the sidemarker LEDs and they flicker when I turn on the car too. Has to be BMW diagnostic thing checking to see if the bulbs are still good. |

I'm not sure. I'm in the process of making a sign to hang in my rear window so the guy behind me in traffic on the way home from work calls me if it happens while I drive. It was either that or a bunch of mirrors and that would've made the car hard to park.

the car is testing led's. put your lights to off position. Provided you have opt out to LED's on turn signals/side marker bulbs, all will blink. Even your angel eyes are tested...go check, they blink as well.
