You need LONGER lug nuts with spacers...not shorter ones.

ok... The lug nuts that came with my spacers are way too long... the are about 3.5 inches long. The spacers are only 20mm. I have 545 replica wheels 37 offset. Hope this helps.

heres what you do, take one of your stock lugs and line it up with the new ones that came with the spacer. Then take a ruler and measure the difference.. that difference should be 20mm

If its not 20mm then you can figure out the size you need easily by taking the length of the original lug and adding 20mm to it.

Let me know how it goes and we can help you out some more.

Btw with a wheel with 37 offset a 20mm spacer is a whole lot and you may be pushing it, depending on what tires you have.. the front probably wont take that spacer and on the rear its probably possible, but becareful that the tires arent rubbing on the car

Ok... stock lugs are 50mm... new lugs are 85mm... so you are saying i need to be at 70mm right? What would make the car not move?

Yea so you definatly need 70mm lugs if your stock ones are 50mm/ because its basicly the distance of your wheel (50mm ?) + the 20mm spacer = 70mm..

as for why your wheel doesnt move, can you explain it better, this is the part that confuses me. Does the lug screw in all the way and tighten the wheel to the hub (to the car)? or is it wobbly ?

If so, when the wheel is on the car and the car is on the ground is the tire touching the body of the car at all ?

Yes... the lug screwed in all the way and no the tire was not touching the body... I called my wheel place and the guy I spoke to said.. that seeing the lugs are too long... they are hitting the emergency brake... causing the car not to move... does this sound right?

woah I never heard of that but that would be very interesting. Best thing to try is to put your original lugs in and see if the car moves, if it does then thats the answer. Its safe to put in your original lugs in the car and move it in the driveway, just dont drive on the streets like that until you can get the shorter lugs.

Let me know if the shorter original lugs let the car move, that would be very very interesting

Ok..my brother just took the spacers off and put the orginal lugs back on... the car does move now.... but the thing that concerns me is the fact that a small 15mm too long would cause the car not to move.... Would it hurt to cut the new lugs down to size... I have called tirerack, wheel places, tire places, pep boys, I think just about everything... they all say they do not have anything longer than the stock lugs...

15mm is not small in terms of cars.. these things are down to the mm.. 15mm on a wheel is like a mile.

The best way to test why the wheel is not moving is to leave the spacers ON and put the orignal lugs in, if it moves, then you can definatly say its because the other lugs were too long.

As for cutting, sure you can cut down your lugs to match the size they should be. Just be very sure of your measurement before you do anything permanant... so again just to be sure, the length of your new lugs should be the original lugs + 20mm (in your case)

But its strange, most places should sell these lugs, try calling up H&R and ask if they have the size you need. (888 827.8881)

good luck!

Just an update.... I ended up cutting the longer lugs down to 70mm and everything worked great! Car looks better.. but could have gone wider. I will post pics later on. Thanks again for all your help Mark!
