BLK SAPH M-tech rear

I need your advice:

I have my appointment scheduled for next week Monday to have my m-tech rear painted and installed. My question is: Should i paint the matte black diffuser black or leave it matte black?

I haven't seen many cars with the m-tech and the diffuser painted black saph. What do you guys think?

Thats is why im getting the m-tech rear. But the damage is not that bad. It can easily be repaired

Keep it Matt IMO. My reasons:

1. Stock is matt

2. On Sapphire black it will not stand out as much as on Alpine white for example.

3. You can spend the cash you save on another mod.

4. If you have another 'fender bender' you will have wasted your cash on the paint job and will still have to replace it.

Having a blk saph, I'd leave it matte and see how it looks. I think it would make a great contrast, but you can always paint it afterward if you don't like how it looks matte.

I was thinking the same: It wouldn't stick out as much being that its black.....

you are correct. Maybe I will just leave it matte then if i dont like it have it painted.

As a point of reference, I have black matte grilles. They are subtly different and have really grown on me.

I was going to ask someone with black saphire should i get matt black or glossy black kidneys. I may just go for the matte.

Well, if you are going to leave the diffuser matte then you def should leave the grilles matte as well for balance. Again, thankfully grilles are cheap. If you change your mind later its not too painful.

My advice is keep it matte. That's what I did and I think it looks great. Adds a bit of contrast to make the back look interesting, but not too much on a BS car to be out of place. It's not really a matte black, but more a matte dark gray. Besides, it is not primed like the rest of the bumper, so you'd have to prime it then paint it = more in time and cost.

I have stock flat diffuser and BMW Performance grilles on my BSM M-sport. It's the way to go.
