Love my crimson red e92
I picked up my new 328 i two days ago and I love it. I was sure of all these mods I was going to do but the car looks so perfect I can bring myself to change anything right now. I have only put 25 miles on it because I have been busy with work so do not take this as a "review" so much as some random thoughts. The red is amazing in the sun and very pretty at night, I have a racecar that is Viper Red and Crimson is close. Love CA well worth the money. The six speed is perfect but takes a little getting used coming from a 90k mile Jeep Wrangler 5speed. The sport package wheels look 10 times better than any pic I have seen and 100 times better that the configurator on BMWUSA. The adaptive headlights are not a gimmick they really make a difference in corners. I am sure that I am preaching to the choir on most of this and I do not mean that by any means this car is better than any other e92 or other BMW model just saying that for what I wanted this car is PERFECT in every way. I am working in better pics for the photo gallery this weekend. From what I have seen this may be the first Red e92 on the street in the US. Even the sales manager said that they are thinking about ordering a red one for stock, which is unusual because their lot is only silver, grey, or black. My dealer (Levin) and my CA (Bruce) were perfect. I appreciate everyone on this site for the amount of knowledge an info that helped in my decision making and helped keep me from going nuts for the last 18 months while I waited for this car to come out.

Thanks for the pictures. I have been waiting a long time for actual photographs.
My Crimson red 335i is scheduled to hit the VPC tomorrow, so I hope to have it late next week, or early the following week. There is a distinct difference between the first and second pictures. The first picture looks close to imola, as stated before, with a touch of maroon in the color. The second picture looks more like electric red, with a touch of orange in the color. I am sure that lighting plays a role in this, but would you say that all in all, the color is actually closer to the imola? |

Finally, somebody with a crimson! Like Peanuthead, what I want to know....how close is this red to other BMW reds. Is it closer to imola or the sedan's red? Thanks in advance! You can never tell online.

Crimson is a lot better than electric red which was too orange for my liking. Thought about getting it on my 335 sedan but wanted to compare it to imola which is my favorite. I was hoping they'd be close but no way. The dealer had 4"x8" actual color samples and I viewed crimson along side imola. Imola is deeper, darker, richer, more black in it.

The red has no orange to it. I think it is closer to Imola but not quite as burgandyish if that makes sense. I have heard that viper red is the "most" red available and this is close to viper red. I guess I need a bumper sticker that says "My other car is a 10,000 lb. V10 powered maze of technology but way less fun to drive"
