Lux 5.0 vs. WeissLicht Angel Eyes?
I like that the WeissLicht seems to have less "stuff" attached to them (ie no fan, extra wires, etc.). The LUX just seem so fragile. Oh, the WeissLicht are $50 less.
Any comparisons between these two yet???? Last edited by Magic Man; 10-31-2009 at 05:04 PM.. Reason: Add Tags |

i recommend lux. i'm currently running the lux4.0 and love them. even lighting through all rings and the build quality imo does not seem "fragile" compared to some.

You haven't even held the product in your hands, much less used it. How can you even comment? Weisslicht has been thoroughly tested (left on for days, inside a headlight, on the workbench). It does not overheat. I'll be reporting your post. Next time, don't make comments like that unless you have evidence. Just recommend the product you like, and let it sell on it's own merits. We are confident that the Weisslicht brand will be taking the market by storm. We've already sold out, twice. |

For LED based angel eye system, there are many different factors that contribute to the overall performance of it.
First off, there is the LED itself - LUX 5.0 uses the highest quality LED, Made in The USA, that has proven to be one of the most popular and most relaiable LED on the market today. Second - there is the drive currrent of the LED. the higher the driver current, the brighter the LED. LUX 5 is driven at a level that provides maximum output without any sacrifices. Lastly - heat. Heat is a major concern of LED's, and that is why it is designed with a FULL aluminum heat sink design to help keep it cool and regulated. Also on a side note about LED's - Higher wattage does not mean a better solution - it actually could mean the exact opposite. I could develop a 100watt LED system for angel eyes, but it doesnt mean its going to be that much brighter. LED's are known for their efficiency, so less power means you have a better LED |
